Step 1: Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
Line a 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) baking pan with parchment paper or grease it well.
Step 2: Prepare the Apples
Peel, core, and dice the apples into small cubes. Set aside.
Step 3: Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and creamy.
Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, then whisk until smooth.
Step 4: Add the Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a smooth batter forms. Do not overmix.
Step 5: Fold in the Apples
Gently fold the diced apples into the batter until evenly distributed.
Step 6: Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 7: Cool
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 8: Finish and Serve
Dust generously with powdered sugar.
Slice into squares and serve warm or at room temperature with coffee, tea, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
