  • Cotton ball or spray bottle (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and roughly chop the onion.
  2. Blend or grate it until it forms a pulp.
  3. Strain the pulp through a cheesecloth or fine sieve to collect the juice.
  4. Apply the juice directly to the scalp, gently massaging for a few minutes.
  5. Leave it on for 15–30 minutes.
  6. Wash thoroughly with a mild shampoo to remove the odor.

Use once or twice a week if your scalp tolerates it.

Optional Nourishing Hair Mask

For added moisture, combine:

  • 2 tablespoons fresh onion juice
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or olive oil

Mix well, massage into the scalp and hair, leave on for 20–30 minutes, then rinse and shampoo.

Safety Tips

Before using onion juice:

  • Perform a patch test on a small area of skin.
  • Stop use if you experience burning, redness, or severe irritation.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes.
  • Do not apply to broken or infected skin.

People with sensitive skin may find onion juice too irritating.
