Ingredients
- 2 ripe tomatoes
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger
- 1 cup water
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional)
Step 1: Wash the Ingredients
Thoroughly wash the tomatoes and ginger under running water.
Step 2: Prepare the Tomatoes
Cut the tomatoes into quarters.
Remove any damaged portions.
Step 3: Prepare the Ginger
Peel the ginger and slice it into small pieces.
Step 4: Blend Everything
Place in a blender:
- Tomatoes
- Ginger
- Water
- Lemon juice
Blend until completely smooth.
Step 5: Strain (Optional)
If you prefer a smoother drink, strain through a fine mesh sieve.
Many people prefer keeping the pulp because it contains fiber.
Step 6: Add Honey
Add honey if you prefer a sweeter flavor.
Mix well.
Step 7: Serve
Pour into a glass over ice and enjoy immediately
