The Secret to That Reddish-Brown Hair Color? It’s From Your Kitchen!

  • by

Pour the water into a saucepan and bring it to a gentle boil.

Step 2: Add the Ingredients

Add the hibiscus flowers, cinnamon sticks, and bay leaves. Stir well.

Step 3: Simmer

Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 20–30 minutes until the water develops a deep reddish color.

Step 4: Cool and Strain

Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool completely. Strain out all solids.

Step 5: Add Honey

Stir in the honey and coconut oil until fully combined.

Step 6: Apply to Hair

After shampooing, apply the mixture evenly from roots to ends. Massage gently into the scalp and hair.

Step 7: Leave It On

Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave for 30–60 minutes.

Step 8: Rinse

Rinse thoroughly with cool water. Avoid shampooing immediately afterward to allow the natural pigments to settle.

How Often to Use

  • Apply once or twice per week.
  • Results are gradual and may vary depending on your natural hair color and hair type.

Benefits

✔ Adds natural shine
✔ Enhances warm brown and auburn tones
✔ Helps condition dry hair
✔ Free from ammonia and harsh chemical dyes
✔ Leaves hair feeling soft and refreshed

Important Note

Natural hair rinses may temporarily tint hair and enhance existing tones, but they do not provide the same permanent coloring effect as commercial hair dyes. Always perform a patch test before use. 🌺✨
