Cut 2 fresh aloe vera leaves from the plant. Wash them thoroughly to remove dirt and debris.
Step 2: Remove the Yellow Sap
Stand the leaves upright in a bowl for 15–20 minutes to allow the yellow latex to drain out. This helps reduce irritation.
Step 3: Extract the Gel
Using a sharp knife, remove the edges and outer skin of the leaves. Scoop out the clear gel with a spoon.
Step 4: Blend the Gel
Place the aloe vera gel in a blender and blend until smooth.
Step 5: Combine with Oil
Pour the coconut oil or olive oil into a saucepan. Add the blended aloe vera gel and mix well.
Step 6: Heat Gently
Cook the mixture on very low heat for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not boil. Continue until most of the water from the gel has evaporated.
Step 7: Cool and Strain
Remove from heat and let the oil cool completely. Strain through a fine strainer or cheesecloth into a clean bowl.
Step 8: Store the Oil
Transfer the strained oil into a clean glass jar or bottle. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
