Out of all-purpose flour?
* Use ½ cup whole wheat flour + ½ cup cake flour per 1 cup.
No sugar?
* Use ¾ cup honey or maple syrup per 1 cup sugar, reduce other liquids by 2–4 tbsp.
* For applesauce, use ½ cup per 1 cup sugar (moist bakes only).
No butter?
Use ¾ cup neutral oil per 1 cup butter.
* Or 1:1 mashed avocado (best in chocolate/spiced bakes).
* Or ½ cup Greek yogurt per 1 cup butter, reduce other liquids.
No eggs?
* Use 1 tbsp ground flax or chia + 3 tbsp water per egg.

No heavy cream?
