Step 1: Wash the Ingredients
Wash the cucumber and ginger thoroughly under running water.
If you’re using fresh moringa leaves instead of powder, wash those carefully as well.
Step 2: Prepare the Cucumber
Cut the cucumber into several smaller pieces.
You don’t necessarily need to peel it if the skin is clean and suitable for eating.
Step 3: Prepare the Ginger
Peel approximately 1 inch of fresh ginger.
Cut it into small pieces so your blender can process it more easily.
If you’re sensitive to spicy flavors, start with a smaller amount.
Step 4: Prepare the Lemon
Peel half a lemon and remove visible seeds.
Using peeled lemon rather than blending the thick outer peel helps prevent the drink from becoming excessively bitter.
Step 5: Add Everything to the Blender
Place the following into your blender:
- Cucumber pieces
- Ginger
- ½ peeled lemon
- 1 teaspoon moringa powder
- 1 cup water
Step 6: Blend
Blend for approximately 30–60 seconds, or until the mixture looks smooth.
If it is too thick, add a little more water.
If you prefer a colder drink, add a few ice cubes.
Step 7: Strain If Desired
Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass.
Press gently with a spoon to extract the liquid.
You can also leave it unstrained if you don’t mind the pulp and thicker texture.
Step 8: Serve Immediately
Pour into a glass and enjoy it fresh.
For the best flavor, serve chilled.
You don’t need to add sugar—the lemon and cucumber already provide plenty of flavor.
