“Agreed.”
“And the Chong family situation. I need to understand it fully.”

She looked at him across the table with the Alps behind him in the morning light and thought: I am in Switzerland in a fortress because of a dog that stole a stuffed rabbit, and the man across from me is Leo’s father, and the world is very strange.
