Step 1: Cook the Beef

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking it into small crumbles.
  3. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Step 2: Season

  1. Stir in the taco seasoning and water.
  2. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.

Step 3: Prepare the Chip Bags

  1. Gently crush the chips slightly while still in the bag.
  2. Open each bag lengthwise to create a wide opening.

Step 4: Assemble

  1. Spoon the warm taco meat over the chips.
  2. Sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
  3. Add lettuce, tomatoes, olives, jalapeños, and green onions.
  4. Top with a dollop of sour cream and a spoonful of salsa.
  5. Add guacamole and cilantro if desired.

Step 5: Serve
