Just Milk and Fruit! Easy No-Gelatin Fruit Milk Dessert

Step 1: Prepare the Fruit

Wash and peel the fruit.

Cut the kiwi, banana, grapefruit, and persimmon into small pieces.

Separate the mandarin into segments.

Try to keep the pieces relatively similar in size so they distribute evenly throughout the dessert.

Step 2: Arrange Some Fruit

Line a loaf pan or rectangular glass container with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Arrange a few attractive pieces of kiwi, orange, banana, and other fruit against the bottom and sides of the container.

This will create a beautiful pattern when the dessert is turned out and sliced.

Step 3: Make the Milk Mixture

Pour about 100 ml of the milk into a bowl.

Add the cornstarch and whisk until completely smooth.

Make sure there are no lumps.

Step 4: Heat the Remaining Milk

Pour the remaining milk into a saucepan.

Add the sugar and place the saucepan over medium heat.

Stir occasionally until the milk becomes hot, but don’t let it boil aggressively.

Step 5: Add the Cornstarch Mixture

Slowly pour the cornstarch-and-milk mixture into the warm milk while whisking constantly.

Continue stirring over medium-low heat.

Within a few minutes, the mixture will become thick and creamy.

Step 6: Add Vanilla

Remove the saucepan from the heat.

Stir in the vanilla extract.

If using heavy cream, add it now and whisk until smooth.

Step 7: Add the Fruit

Gently fold most of the chopped fruit into the warm milk cream.

Be careful not to crush the fruit.

Tip: Very juicy fruits can release liquid and soften the dessert, so drain excess juice before adding them.

Step 8: Fill the Container

Pour the creamy fruit mixture into the prepared container.

Gently tap the container on the counter a few times to remove large air pockets.

Smooth the top with a spatula.

Step 9: Chill

Cover the dessert and place it in the refrigerator for at least 3โ€“4 hours, preferably overnight.

The cornstarch will help the milk mixture firm up as it cools.

Step 10: Slice and Serve

Once completely chilled, carefully remove the dessert from the container.

Place it on a cutting board and slice into thick pieces.

The colorful fruit pieces will be beautifully visible throughout each slice. ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฅ๐ŸŠ
