Juicy Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Crispy Fries

Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes if desired and cut them into even-sized fries.

Soak the fries in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat completely dry with paper towels.

Step 2: Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil to 325°F (163°C).

Fry the potatoes in batches for 4–5 minutes until tender but not browned.

Remove and let them rest for 10 minutes.

Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190°C) and fry the potatoes again for 2–3 minutes, until crispy and golden brown.

Drain on paper towels and season immediately with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Season the Steak

Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels.

Season evenly with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.

Step 4: Sear the Steak

Heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat.

Add the olive oil.

Place the steak cubes in a single layer without overcrowding the pan.

Cook for 2–3 minutes on one side without moving them, then turn and cook another 2–3 minutes for medium-rare, or longer to your preferred doneness.

Step 5: Add the Garlic Butter

Reduce the heat to medium.

Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet.

Stir continuously for 1 minute, coating the steak bites in the melted garlic butter.

Sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Step 6: Assemble the Plate

Arrange the crispy fries on a serving platter or individual plates.

Top generously with the garlic butter steak bites.

Spoon any remaining garlic butter from the pan over the steak.
