This refreshing drink combines lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, ginger, and a small amount of pink salt. Despite the name in the image, it is not a homemade version of the prescription medication Mounjaro and should not be expected to produce the same effects.
Ingredients
- 24 ounces (710 ml) cold water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- Ice cubes (optional)
- Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Step 1: Prepare the Water
Pour the 24 ounces of cold water into a large pitcher, mason jar, or mixing jug.
Step 2: Add the Lemon Juice
Squeeze fresh lemons and measure 2 tablespoons of juice. Add it to the water and stir gently.
Step 3: Add the Apple Cider Vinegar
Pour in 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and mix until evenly combined.
Step 4: Add the Pink Salt
Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt. Stir well until the salt dissolves completely.
Step 5: Add the Ginger
Mix in 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger. Stir thoroughly to distribute the ginger throughout the drink.
Step 6: Chill (Optional)
For the best flavor, refrigerate the drink for 15–30 minutes or serve immediately over ice.
Step 7: Serve
Pour into a glass, garnish with a slice of lemon if desired, and enjoy.
Tips
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice provides the best flavor.
- Shake or stir before drinking if the ginger settles.
- Drink in moderation, as acidic ingredients like lemon juice and apple cider vinegar may irritate the stomach or tooth enamel in some people.
- If you have kidney disease, high blood pressure requiring sodium restriction, stomach ulcers, or take medications that interact with apple cider vinegar, consult your healthcare provider before making this a regular drink.
Note: This beverage may be a refreshing, low-calorie drink, but there is no scientific evidence that it works like Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for weight loss or blood sugar control.
