Guava Leaves for Eye Health: What the Evidence Says

Social media often claims that guava leaves can treat eye problems, improve vision, and relieve eye pain or fatigue without medication. While guava leaves contain beneficial plant compounds, there is currently no reliable scientific evidence that they can treat eye diseases or restore vision. It is also not safe to put homemade guava leaf preparations in or around the eyes, as they may introduce bacteria or irritants.

That said, guava leaves have been studied for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and drinking guava leaf tea can be part of a healthy diet.
