Step 1: Brew the Tea
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the hibiscus tea bags and let steep for 10–15 minutes.
Step 2: Cool the Tea
Remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool completely.
Step 3: Mix the Protein
In a blender bottle or shaker, combine the whey protein, collagen (if using), and about 1 cup of cold water. Shake until completely smooth.
Step 4: Combine Everything
In a large pitcher, mix together:
- Cooled hibiscus tea
- Remaining cold water
- Protein mixture
- Lemon juice
- Lime juice
- Berry flavoring (if using)
- Sweetener to taste
Stir well until fully combined.
Step 5: Add the Fruit
Add the sliced strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, lemon slices, and lime slices.
Step 6: Chill
Refrigerate for 1–2 hours to let the fruit infuse the drink with flavor.
Step 7: Serve
Fill glasses with ice and pour the refresher over the top. Garnish with extra berries or citrus slices if desired.
Tips
- Use protein isolate for the smoothest texture and easiest mixing.
- For extra fizz, replace some of the water with chilled sparkling water just before serving.
- Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Stir or shake before serving if the protein settles.
