Air Fryer Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops

  • by

Step 1: Prepare the Lobster

Using kitchen shears, carefully split the lobster tails lengthwise through the shell. Gently loosen the meat and lift it slightly above the shell while keeping it attached at the base.

Step 2: Prepare the Scallops

Pat the scallops completely dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture helps them brown beautifully.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.

Step 4: Season the Seafood

Brush the garlic butter generously over the lobster meat. Toss the scallops with a little of the remaining garlic butter until evenly coated.

Step 5: Preheat the Air Fryer

Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.

Step 6: Cook the Lobster

Place the lobster tails in the air fryer basket, shell side down. Air fry for 5–6 minutes.

Step 7: Add the Scallops

Open the air fryer and arrange the scallops around the lobster tails in a single layer.

Step 8: Finish Cooking

Cook everything for another 4–6 minutes, or until:

  • The lobster meat is opaque and reaches 140–145°F (60–63°C).
  • The scallops are lightly golden and reach 125–130°F (52–54°C) for a tender, juicy texture.

Be careful not to overcook the seafood.

Step 9: Brush with More Garlic Butter

Remove the seafood from the air fryer and immediately brush with any remaining warm garlic butter.

Step 10: Garnish

Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges for a burst of fresh flavor.

Step 11: Serve

Pair with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, steamed vegetables, rice pilaf, or a crisp green salad for a complete meal.

Tips

  • Use dry sea scallops rather than wet-packed scallops for the best golden crust.
  • Pat both the lobster and scallops dry before seasoning to help them cook evenly.
  • Fresh garlic provides the richest flavor, but garlic paste works in a pinch.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter if you like a little heat.
  • Serve immediately for the best taste and texture, as seafood is at its peak right after cooking.

Enjoy this buttery, garlicky Air Fryer Lobster & Scallops—a simple yet impressive seafood dinner that’s ready in just over 20 minutes! 🦞🧄🧈
