A Simple Morning Drink for Constipation, Bloating, and Better Digestion

  • by

Constipation and bloating can leave you feeling uncomfortable, heavy, and sluggish. While no drink can safely remove 11 kilos of body weight in 24 hours, a fiber-rich drink can support regular bowel movements and may help reduce temporary bloating when combined with enough fluids and a balanced diet.

One simple option combines kiwi, chia seeds, and water. Kiwi provides fiber and fluid, while chia seeds contain soluble fiber that absorbs water and forms a gel-like consistency.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe kiwis
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice, optional
  • A small piece of fresh ginger, optional

Step 1: Prepare the Kiwi

Peel two ripe kiwis and cut them into small pieces.

Place them in a blender.

Step 2: Add the Water

Pour one cup of water into the blender.

Blend the kiwi and water until the mixture becomes smooth.

Step 3: Add the Chia Seeds

Pour the mixture into a glass and add one tablespoon of chia seeds.

Stir thoroughly.

Allow it to stand for approximately 5–10 minutes so the chia seeds can absorb some of the liquid.

Step 4: Add Lemon or Ginger

For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice.

You can also add a small amount of freshly grated ginger if you enjoy its taste.

Stir again before drinking.

Step 5: Drink Slowly

You can drink this in the morning, including before breakfast if that feels comfortable for you. However, there is no special requirement to consume it on an empty stomach.

Drink it slowly rather than consuming a large amount of fiber very quickly.

Why It May Help With Constipation

Fiber helps increase stool bulk and can support regular bowel movements. Kiwi is a convenient source of fiber, while chia seeds provide additional fiber.

However, increasing fiber without drinking enough fluid can sometimes make constipation worse. Make sure you drink adequate water throughout the day.

If you are not accustomed to eating much fiber, start with a smaller amount and increase gradually.

What About the “11 Kilos in 24 Hours” Claim?

Losing 11 kilograms of body fat in one day is not realistic or safe.

If someone’s weight changes dramatically over a short period, most of that change would not represent actual fat loss. Temporary changes in bowel contents and body water can affect the number on the scale, but they should not be confused with genuine weight loss.

The goal should be comfortable digestion and gradual, sustainable weight management—not forcing the body to lose enormous amounts of weight overnight.

For Better Results, Build a Daily Routine

Along with a fiber-rich drink, try to include:

  • Vegetables and fruits
  • Beans and lentils
  • Oats and whole grains
  • Adequate water
  • Regular walking or other physical activity
  • Consistent meal times

If constipation continues despite these measures, it is worth discussing it with a healthcare professional.

Seek medical attention promptly if constipation is accompanied by severe abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, significant abdominal swelling, blood in the stool, fever, or inability to pass gas.

This simple kiwi-and-chia drink can be part of a healthy routine, but it should be viewed as a source of fiber and hydration—not a 24-hour detox or a method for losing 11 kilograms.
