PART 2

The crowd watched helplessly.

Minutes felt like hours.

Smoke poured from broken windows.

Parts of the roof began collapsing.

Then suddenly…

a small figure appeared.

Michael emerged carrying a frightened little girl.

The crowd erupted into cheers.

Paramedics rushed forward.

The child was alive.

But Michael wasn’t finished.

As medics examined the girl, she grabbed his sleeve.

“My brother…”

Michael’s heart sank.

“There are more children?”

The little girl nodded through tears.

“He’s still upstairs.”

The commander shouted.

“No! The building is coming down!”

Michael looked at the child.

Then at the fire.

Everyone knew what he was thinking.

The entire crowd began screaming for him to stop.

But Michael had already turned around.

And disappeared back into the inferno.

Moments later, the building began to collapse.
