📝 Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric (or a few slices fresh turmeric)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5–6 fresh guava leaves, washed
  • 4 cups water

Step 1

Add all ingredients to a saucepan.

Step 2

Pour in the water.

Step 3

Bring to a gentle boil.

Step 4

Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 5

Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Step 6

Strain into cups.

Step 7

Serve warm. You may add a little honey or lemon if desired.
