Marble Cupcakes

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together:

  • Flour
  • Baking powder
  • Salt

Set aside.

Step 3: Cream Butter & Sugar

  1. Beat softened butter until creamy.
  2. Add sugar and beat for 3–4 minutes until light and fluffy.

This creates soft, airy cupcakes.

Step 4: Add Eggs & Vanilla

  1. Add eggs one at a time.
  2. Mix in vanilla extract.

Beat until smooth.

Step 5: Combine with Dry Ingredients

  1. Add dry ingredients gradually.
  2. Alternate with milk.
  3. Mix just until combined.

Do not overmix.

Step 6: Make the Chocolate Batter

In a small bowl:

  1. Mix cocoa powder with 2 tablespoons milk.
  2. Take about 1 cup of the vanilla batter and mix it with the cocoa mixture.

Now you have your chocolate batter.

Step 7: Create the Marble Effect

  1. Add 1 spoon of vanilla batter into each liner.
  2. Add 1 spoon of chocolate batter on top.
  3. Use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl.

Don’t over-swirl — you want visible patterns.

Step 8: Bake

Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool completely before frosting.

  • Swirled chocolate & vanilla frosting
  • Chocolate ganache

✨ Use room temperature ingredients.
✨ Do not overmix the batter.
✨ Fill liners only ¾ full.
✨ For extra flavor, add mini chocolate chips.
