ESSENTIAL HOMEMADE SAUCES

1. Garlic Aioli

• ½ cup mayonnaise

• 2–3 cloves garlic, minced (1 tbsp)

• 1 tbsp lemon juice

• 1 tbsp olive oil

Salt to taste

2. Honey Mustard

• ¼ cup Dijon mustard

• 3 tbsp honey

• 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

• Pinch of salt

3. Mexican Salsa (Fresh Pico‑Style)

• 2 medium tomatoes, diced (1 cup)

• ¼ cup red onion, finely diced

• 1 jalapeño, minced (seeds optional)

• 2 tbsp chopped cilantro

• 1–2 tbsp lime juice

• ¼ tsp salt

4. Teriyaki Sauce

• ¼ cup soy sauce

• 3 tbsp brown sugar

• 1 tsp minced garlic

• 1 tsp minced ginger

• 1 tsp sesame oil

(Optional: simmer 2–3 min to thicken)

5. Basil Pesto

• 2 cups fresh basil leaves (packed)

• ¼ cup pine nuts

• ½ cup grated Parmesan

• 2 cloves garlic

• ½ cup olive oil

• ¼ tsp salt

6. Tzatziki (Greek Yogurt Cucumber Sauce)

• 1 cup Greek yogurt

• ½ cup grated cucumber (squeezed dry)

• 1 clove garlic, minced

• 1 tbsp chopped dill

• 1 tbsp lemon juice

• ¼ tsp salt

7. BBQ Sauce

• ½ cup ketchup

• 2 tbsp brown sugar

• 1 tsp smoked paprika

• 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

• ½ tsp apple cider vinegar

8. Alfredo Sauce

• 1 cup light cream (or heavy cream for richer)

• 2 tbsp butter

• ½ cup grated Parmesan

• 1 clove garlic, minced

• Pinch of salt + pepper

Simmer 3–5 minutes until creamy.

9. Chimichurri

• ½ cup parsley, finely chopped

• 2 tbsp cilantro, finely chopped

• 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

• ½ tsp crushed red pepper

• 3 tbsp red wine vinegar

• ¼ cup olive oil

• ¼ tsp salt

10. Sweet Chili Sauce

• ½ cup water

• ¼ cup rice vinegar

• ¼ cup sugar

• 1–2 red chilies, minced

• 1 clove garlic, minced

• 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tsp water (slurry)

Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened.
